Description
Preferred™ Black brings North Coast Medical's most versatile thermoplastic splinting material to a sleek black finish — easy for new splinters, reliable for experts.
Why you'll love it
-
Forgiving handling – minimum to moderate resistance to stretch with a moderate drape; contours form quickly with light pressure.
-
Re-moldable – minimum to moderate memory lets you modify splints a few times without thinning.
-
Stays put while you work – the Environmentally Friendly (EF) coating has a tacky feel that holds material in place without pulling away.
-
Clean, professional finish – resists fingerprints and stains; cut edges self-seal, even after reheating.
-
Right rigidity – circumferential splints flex enough for easy donning/doffing yet immobilize securely.
Choose your thickness
-
1/8" (3.2 mm) – for almost any application: dynamic and static splinting, adult and pediatric positioning, post-burn and post-surgical care.
-
3/32" (2.4 mm) – thin and lightweight yet strong; ideal for forearm- and hand-based, arthritis, post-operative and pediatric splints.
